Pit Design with Pit Expansion Tool

This course introduces the MinePlan 3D (MP3D) Pit Expansion Tool, a powerful feature for generating complete pit designs from a base string. You'll learn how to digitize and edit base strings, set required parameters such as step tables, expansion types, and vertical/horizontal expansion directions, and apply optional parameters to vary face slopes, pit slopes, and berms across different geotechnical zones. The course also covers building roads with switchbacks, using zero, single, and multiple expansion techniques, and exporting final pit geometry, including surfaces, solids, mid-bench lines, and ramp centerlines, to support downstream planning processes.
