About this course

This course is designed for people who have little or no prior experience with MinePlan 3D software. You'll learn how to build a project from the ground up and work through the fundamentals of creating and editing data in the MinePlan 3D (MP3D) viewer, including how to configure the plotting tool. From there, the course introduces 3D block model views. By the end, you'll be comfortable navigating the MP3D interface, working with CAD data in the viewer, and handling the basics of model view management.

  • Set up and configure a MinePlan 3Dt/MS3D project from scratch
  • Navigate the MS3D interface and manage data using the Model Manager
  • Create, edit, and transform CAD geometry: points, polylines, triangulations, and surfaces
  • Work with materials, grid sets, and the edit grid to control display and digitizing
  • Import and manipulate point cloud data
  • Understand 3D block models and create block model views
  • Use the plotting tool to produce presentation-ready output
